9839 A large pair of Chinese famille rose baluster vases, for the Eastern export market, the panels finely decorated with tree peony and magnolia, reserved in leaf shaped panels on a deep blue ground with traces of gilt decoration. One with a restored body crack, the other very extensive damage, old repairs. An identical vase (with cover) is in Topkapi Palace museum.
