Pair of Japanese Mounted Vases

9891 A pair of French Regence silver mounted Japanese porcelain cups and covers, the porcelain decorated in Imari style, the lids with pomegranate finials, the rim with engraved lozenge decoration and resting on a gadrooned foot rim (probably replaced). Restored chip to one lid.

 

The silver: French, 1720 and later

The porcelain: Edo period, 1700-20
