Victorian Silver Plated Communion Ewer by William Butterfield

9201 A mid Victorian silver plated communion ewer designed by William Butterfield (1814-1900), the scroll handle with pierced roundels, the body inscribed ‘Glory be to God on high’ and on a stepped circular base. Handle reattached.

Attributed to John Keith, unmarked. The original model commissioned for St Mary’s Church Lambeth in 1854, collection of the V & A Museum.
