Tony Embden was a respected London dealer in the late 1950s who moved to Paris and opened a galerie on Quai Voltaire with his wife Arlette, in around 1970. Together, they maintained this prestigious gallery until its closure in 2022. This flagellation group was part of the dispersal by Sothebys in 2022.
