Description
Son of William Theed I, sculptor, studied under his father then EH Bailey before moving to Rome 1826. Studied under Thorvaldsen, Gibson, Wyatt and Tenerani, among the greatest sculptors working in Rome.
1844/5 commission from Prince Albert for 10 statues, leading to a close association with the Royal family.
1848 Return to London.
