A Pair of Early Victorian Painted and Gilded Needlework Stools

9636 A matching pair of early Victorian cream painted and gilt, upholstered stools in Louis XV revival taste, the rectangular tops with silk covering, the frames with shaped friezes and cabriole legs with carving and cabochon ‘gems’ to the knees. Now re-upholstered. The slight differences in width indicate these stools were made to fit a particular commission by the same maker.
